Engine Ice Coolant - This is what my old 240sx did and it just took time to get the air pockets out of the engine. Coolant change not needed unless you run expert trackdays. I use prestone low tox. Run the heater at full tilt while adding coolant too. I think if you ran nesba/af expert, they'd apply the wmrra rule. Otherwise if the car starts to overheat, run the heater at full bore again and this should drop the temperature down to the regular range.
Proplylene glycol is a tad better at heat transfer than the standard old ethylene glycol. I am going to have the radiator cleaned up and put new coolant in there. If you let it idle with the overflow tank cap off, if the coolant rises and then flows out, or the coolant looks like its bubbling in the reservior than i suspect a blown head gasket.
