Small Engine Tapered Shaft Adapter - I believe its a 3/4 straight shaft. Tapered crank shaft on briggs to cut the taper off, i would start the engine and hold a hacksaw on the shaft where you want to cut it, having the shaft turning into the teeth of the blade, of course. I currently have a pulley on the engine using a bushing to adapt a straight shaft pulley to it. This one's about got us stumped. I can't believe how much tension we put on that puller and it would not budge. Onan and some winco units used that style engine.
The name of it eludes me now but i am thinking it has the word brown in it. The predator also has a real steel cam, unlike the ust. The out put shaft on the engine has a taper that the rotor would go into and the stator assembly would bolt on to the face of the engine using the four bolt pattern on the out put end of the engine. Making a stub shaft with a tapered end to fit the generator would not be a difficult job if you have access to a lathe. Be sure to tap the tapered end so you can draw it up inside the generator rotor shaft with the bolt that currently runs through the center of the rotor shaft. This one's about got.

Im looking for a tapered shaft motor and without having to measure i was just wondering if anyone knew ? Then i would use a high speed cutoff wheel, if that's the case. I got a dewalt branded 196cc for $135 shipped (minus tank and muffler). The other end is supported by the engine crankshaft & bearing. Im not too sure of my calculations, but i come up with 3.62* taper per side (7.24* included) and.126 taper per inch.

The length measures about 1.312, kind of hard to measure length exact, but thats pretty close.
